High-performance liquid chromatography determines the share of the target peptide. The release threshold is 99 %. The chromatogram is part of the certificate, not a summary line.

Identity by mass spectrometry

The measured mass is compared with the calculated mass of the sequence. A peptide that is pure but wrong is still wrong; identity is confirmed separately from purity.
